Freeform is a latest app from Apple which is introduced to add every content ideas into a flexible canvas. It helps to organize every virtual content in such a way that you don’t need to worry about size and layout format of the page.
Freeform board can be used to add files and edited in a single place. You can also invite others to your Freeform project and work together in an effective way. It is linked with iCloud which helps you to use the canvas in multiple devices.
What are the Features of Freeform
Freeform supports files such as photos, video, audio, documents, PDFs, sticky notes, shapes, diagrams, and many more. The message feature in Freeform allows users and other collaborators work together and pass messages in realtime. Every edits and updates done by collaborators can be seen in activity updates in the messaging tab itself.
With Fast-sync capabilities and iCloud integration, the changes made by the users can be easily changed on everyone’s screen without any lag. The collaborators can be invited through link or e-mail.
How to enable Freeform on your device
- Open Settings on your device.
- Select Apple ID option.
- Tap on Show All option from “Apps using iCloud” option.
- Turn ON Freeform option from the list.
The Freeform boards can be synced across iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices from anywhere. It is available on iPhone iOS 16.2, iPadOS 16.2 and macOS Ventura 13.1 devices.
How to use Freeform App
The Freeform App can be seen from App gallery. Open the App and select “New Board” option to create a new blank Freeform board. You can start drawing and add different items using the tools available. You can save the board and the saved boards can be viewed from All boards menu.
Each board can be used as unique file and you can give different permission to each board file. The tools like Sticky Notes, Shapes, Text Boxes, Markup Tools, Attachment option, Export as PDF, Print are major options provided by Freeform.
Other alternatives App like Freeform are FigJam, Marvel, Miro, Whiteboard, Sketchboard etc.
