  • Press and hold the power button (also known as the Side button) located on the right side of your iPhone.
  • Hold the button down until the “slide to power off” slider appears on the screen.
  • Use your finger to slide the power icon from left to right to power off your iPhone.
  • Wait a few seconds until the screen turns off and the device shuts down completely.
  • That’s it! Your iPhone is now turned off. If you want to turn it back on, simply press and hold the power button again until the Apple logo appears on the screen.

If your phone is not switching on, here are some things you can do,

Charge your phone: Connect your phone to a power source and let it charge for at least 30 minutes. Sometimes, the battery can be completely drained, and the phone won’t turn on until it has some charge.

Check the charging cable and adapter: Make sure your charging cable and adapter are working properly. Try using a different cable and adapter to see if that helps.

Restart your phone: Press and hold the power button for at least 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen. If your phone has a home button, you can press and hold the home button and power button simultaneously until the Apple logo appears.

Update your phone: If your phone is stuck in a boot loop, try updating it using iTunes or Finder on a computer. Connect your phone to your computer and follow the instructions to update your phone.

Reset your phone: If nothing else works, you can try resetting your phone to its factory settings. This will erase all data and settings from your phone, so make sure you have a backup before doing this. To reset your phone, connect it to your computer, open iTunes or Finder, and select the Restore option.

If none of these steps work, you may need to contact Apple support or take your phone to an authorized service center for further assistance.
